Periodontology
Periodontology is the specialty dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the supporting tissues of the teeth, particularly the gums and bone.
Issues such as gum inflammation, bleeding, or gum recession can be treated through different approaches. It can sometimes be difficult to determine whether the pain originates from the teeth or the gums, which is why an accurate clinical diagnosis is essential.
Beyond revention and the maintenance of gum and bone health, periodontology also includes surgical procedures that can modify the volume and contour of the gums, whether for aesthetic reasons, to treat infections, or to prepare for other dental treatments.
Thanks to modern and minimally invasive techniques (particularly the use of laser technology), it is possible to restore periodontal health while ensuring long-term comfort, functionality, and aesthetic balance.
